Along with the new website I created for the New Zealand Society of Soil Science (NZSSS), their old logo needed to be redesigned. It was done some years back and had marked degeneration of quality onscreen and in print.
With today’s digital devices being extremely high resolution, it was important that any images used on the new site also reflected that quality. Eventually we decided on a redesign of their original logo – using Mount Cook as the background, but with some variations. The NZSSS decided that they wanted one formal and one informal style so they were given these final options and colour variations to choose from.
In addition to their logo, I also created a style guide for the Society, explaining the Society colours, font choices, and how the logo should be presented in print, which helps to keep the companies branding consistent over all media.
